Hello, I’m Kiyomi and I’m an intern at Housing Options Scotland. Based out of Portland, Oregon, USA, I am currently a fourth-year student working toward a public health degree at the Oregon State University. I am completing this internship as part of my degree while gaining valuable experience in the workforce.
During my time here I have the opportunity to work with the brokers, communications, and volunteer outreach teams as well as familiarizing myself with the other departments and programs. I have also been given the chance to choose where my interests lie and explore that more.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be here and am excited to work for and learn from such talented people in such an exemplary organization. It has been a stimulating and welcoming work environment, putting as much care into the wellbeing of their employees as they do for their clients.
When I’m not working, I have been enjoying spending time exploring the area by transit well as on foot. My hobbies include hiking, rock climbing, gardening, sewing, and going to see live music.
