Back in May of 2021, we made our first foray into the world of homelessness, thanks to funding from the Corra Foundation’s Third Sector Homelessness Fund. Initially funded for two years, the project has gone from strength to strength, and is now embedded in our core service as part of our strategic partnership with the Scottish Government.

At the end of the original funding period, we were lucky and grateful to have our service independently evaluated by an expert volunteer, Paula Cleary.

The findings are extremely heartening from a service perspective, but reflective of the current housing climate, with us delivering advice and support to over 400 disabled, older and military households (compared to a target of 120) over 2 years, and while there are always things we can do better, we are proud to publish the report, which covers the project up until the end of March 2023.

Homeless Housing Options Scotland (HHOS) continues on, and continues to grow – with an increased focus on using our expertise and resources to work together with the sector to help tackle homelessness in Scotland.
