This week, HOS is supporting Scottish Housing Day by sharing content about housing as a career of choice. To kick things off, here’s a quick video sharing all the different teams and roles that make up HOS.

Board of Directors

Our dedicated board of directors come from a wide range of backgrounds, including former clients and volunteers.

We currently have 13 board members. They are responsible for setting our strategy and monitoring how well we meet our client’s needs.

Senior Management Team

SMT is responsible for making sure the team has everything they need to help our clients and that all internal systems are running smoothly and effectively.

Our CEO Moira and Depute CEO Olivia also have their own caseloads and Olivia runs our monthly triage meetings.

Housing Options Brokers

Our team of expert brokers work directly with our clients to provide housing information, advice and support.

Clients are assigned to our brokers at triage meetings. The broker then contacts the client to discuss their housing options and can liase with other agencies on their behalf.

Engagement Team

Our engagement team shares the work that HOS does and makes sure anyone who might need our services knows where to go for help with their housing options.

They’re also responsible for building relationships with our partners, including external orgs & our volunteers.

Fundraising

Ryan M and Ben work on fundraising, which enables us to keep doing what we do. Ryan M is the Military Matters Fundraising Lead and Ben is HOS’s Fundraising Associate.

They make grant applications to various organisations and report on the work we were able to do thanks to funding.

Associates and Volunteers

Our Associates work with HOS on a freelance basis. All have expertise that we draw on to help our clients.

Our team of volunteers enhance the services we offer. For example, our Housing Buddies help support some of our clients and some volunteers write reports or blogs for us.
