Homeless Housing Options are launching their new “Homeless First Aid” programme – tailored, free sessions for charities to equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to identify potential homelessness in their service users.

As a third sector organisation, you will see a huge variety of presentations in your service users. But, are you confident that you could identify which of your clients class as statutorily homeless? Many people think that because they’re not out on the street, that they don’t qualify as homeless. This is not the case. Our new “Homeless First Aid” programme gives charities across Scotland the knowledge they need to identify the symptoms of homelessness, or potential homelessness, in their service users – and to get them started on the road to secure housing.

Drawing on a wealth of experience in housing, the “Homeless First Aid” programme offers free, tailored information sessions to charities. The sessions will empower organisations to recognise homelessness, even when the service user doesn’t recognise it themselves.

Homeless Housing Options is the latest service delivered by Housing Options Scotland. We have been offering housing advice, information, and support to disabled people, older people, and members of the Armed Forces community across Scotland for 25 years.

To book a session, get in touch! Sessions typically last around an hour, can be delivered virtually or in person. We can work with you to make sure we meet the specific requirements of your team.
